Waking Nights Enablement Assistant/Support Worker
We are looking for someone with a passion to enable the people we support, to enable them to grow as people, learn new skills and assessing the community using a person centred approach. We currently have a great opportunity in Bursledon, Southampton, supporting a young man with Autism and epilepsy in his own home. This is a small home, you will be lone working during your waking night with a sleep staff member available for assistants. Full person specific training will delivered through a local induction followed with a weeks face to face induction training.
Waking Night Enablement Assistant:
To enable and support the person we support during the night, this can include accessing the community, interaction with the person we support (Listening to music, watching film and games), cooking and assisting with personal care.
Your nightly duties will also include cleaning the lounge, kitchen and bathroom, meal prep (If required), observations and record keeping.
Experience in preferred but not essential, all training and guidance will be given.
