Support Worker - Enablement Assistant
We are looking for someone with a passion to enable the people we support, to enable them to grow as people, learn new skills and assessing the community using a person centred approach. We currently have a great opportunity in Bursledon, Southampton, supporting a young man with Autism and epilepsy in his own home. This is a small home, the staff for the day is 2:1 so no lone working required. We are looking for people with a passion and drive in wanting to , enabling the people we support. Our shifts are 08:00-20:00 with at least one sleep in a week (Though this is not essential) Monday-Sunday.
We have three open vacancies 08:00-20:00 (+sleeps)
We are looking for at least two females. One must have a full clean UK licence and will to drive other cars.
Full person specific training will delivered through a local induction followed with a weeks face to face induction training.
To enable and support the person we support, this can include accessing the community, interaction with the person we support (Listening to music, watching film and games), cooking, shopping, assistance with personal care. Support the person to maintain his close family relations.
Your duties will also include cleaning of the house including the drive and garden, meal prep (If required), observations and record keeping.
