Support workers - NO PERSONAL CARE
PBS4 is a non-profit social enterprise supporting people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
We are currently supporting a gentleman George* in Shirley who is seeking a Enablement support worker to enable him to live the life he chooses. George* enjoys getting out and about. He enjoys engaging in the community, cooking, going for drives, visiting family, and loves a good chat! He lives in his own property in the Maybush area of Southampton You will be working 1:1 (one to one) with George*
DRIVER ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE TO ENABLE GEORGE TO ENGAGE IN ACTIVITIES IN THE COMMUNITY- He has a mobility car so you will not be required to use your own vehicle
George* is a great guy who just wants someone who he can get on with and who is there as a support worker and good company to help him the live he wishes. George* has mild learning disabilities is able and does not require any personal care.
The role involves shift work, this may include days, nights and sleep-ins (Sleep-ins are paid at £60/night). Generally we offer long days meaning a full weeks work can be achieved in 3 days. We provide rolling rotas so you know when you are working and can plan things around your time off.
Working hours are: 36hrs contract
4pm-11pm + Sleep (11pm-8am)
We offer a 5 day induction and ongoing support and training. We also cover the cost of DBS.
Experience in Learning disabilities and/or Mental Health is highly desirable.
