Quality & Governance Monitoring Officer - This is a peripatetic role and will involve travelling and the occasional night away from home

You will ensure care standards are maintained by auditing, using feedback from services, observations and other in house reports. You will be required to prepare reports and provide input into annual policy reviews and policy development. Undertaking other audit activity at the instruction of the Head of Care.
You will also have finance/auditing duties which will include; Personal allowances and petty cash accounts; Unaccounted cheques and reporting back to the Finance team; Receipt books and ensuring that this reconciles with Cold Harbour; Residents’ files to ensure a contract is in place to enable any chasing of debts; Reconciliation of average fee returns with Cold Harbour records.
Our Support Centre in Harrogate provides additional support to the daily workings of our care home, looking after all purchasing and administrative tasks, in addition to adding an extra resource for activities and partnerships. This enables our homes to focus on their main priority - the delivery of excellent care.
This role requires organisational skills and professional competence, effective communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need the ability to develop good internal relationships along with regular liaison with residents and relatives. You will need good knowledge of Health & Social Care Act 2008, strong analytical and IT skills and be self-motivated.
