Contract: Full Time, 12 month fixed term

Salary: £22,400-£30,300

What it's about

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, dynamic team working to develop and deliver training and professional development for teachers, school leaders and teacher trainers. This role would suit someone who is versatile, keen on detail and highly organised.

The position will involve supporting and administering work on a range of resources and services for teachers, school leaders and teacher trainers in the delivery of our programmes and qualifications.

What you'll be doing

Teacher trainer management:
  • Coordinate the administration of the recruitment and development of teacher trainers, including financial and logistical arrangements;
  • Keep documents and files neat and up to date, including budget information, and act as the owner of dedicated processes and procedures;
  • Support the design and production of workshops and resources for trainers;
  • Support the design and distribution of communications to trainers, such as the online Trainer Handbook and regular newsletters;
  • Regularly review and, where necessary, redesign processes to find the most efficient ways of working and of using resources.
  • Teaching and learning projects:
  • Support the design and delivery of schools' conferences and enrichment professional development workshops and resources;
  • Help coordinate the work of colleagues and of external consultants;
  • Maintain records to ensure that work is done to schedule and appropriate standards.
  • Team coordination:
  • Support the wider work of the Teaching & Learning team in its collaboration with colleagues in Cambridge and regional offices, consultants and schools, including the writing of commissions, processing of expenses and organisation of travel;
  • Plan team meetings and keep a clear, consistent record of actions;
  • Represent the team as required in specific meetings and working groups.

What we're looking for

  • Has proven administrative experience;
  • Has a high level of literacy, numeracy and IT skills;
  • Is educated to at least A Level standard (or equivalent);
  • Is a fast learner;
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Is proactive and professional, self-motivated, confident, flexible, creative and open-minded;
  • Can work simultaneously and autonomously on a number of projects and prioritise to ensure the efficient, accurate and timely delivery of tasks;
  • May have experience of using budget-management software and systems.
