In the UK, one in every 2,500 babies is born with cystic fibrosis - a genetic disorder that creates sticky mucus in the lungs, leading to many medical problems. While treatments are available, there’s no cure, and the condition tends to get worse over time. Sadly, life expectancy is also shortened.

At the Cystic Fibrosis Holiday Fund, we help finance holidays or short breaks for children with cystic fibrosis. It’s about giving them a respite from the disease to boost their physical and mental well-being. But most of all, it means they can create new, wonderful and carefree memories with their families.

Well organised, motivated and eager to learn. That’s you. And as our go-to person for any administrative needs, you’ll keep everything running smoothly. Together, we’ll develop and deliver our Respite Break Grants and fully funded holiday programme, Family Revitalise 2019.

With heaps of initiative and excellent attention-to-detail, you’ll support event planning and general fundraising. Day-to-day, you’ll have varied responsibilities - such as booking travel arrangements, filing, photocopying and working with our databases. So good written and verbal communication skills are a must.

You’ll bring five GCSEs including mathematics (or equivalent experience), and be confident using Word, Excel and Outlook. You should also be a natural team player and passionate about the work we do. We’ll provide all the training you need, and flexible hours to suit those who might have caring or study commitments.
