What it's about

If you are reading this you're probably curious about what these roles are about and what one of them could offer you. Would you enjoy it? Would you be any good at it? We believe that the answer to both those questions ultimately depends on you. What we can say however, is that being a member of our Test Production team would give you access to a career with great colleagues striving to do exceptional things.

If you are looking for somewhere you can grow and gain expertise, if you want to be part of a community that relies on each other to help out, inspire, think outside the box, laugh, celebrate and make things happen then we want to hear from you.

We have opportunities for motivated people to join us in producing the best possible assessment materials for our customers.

Our team is responsible for the production of assessment materials that are used by teachers and students across the UK. We don't expect you'll necessarily have previous experience working in our field. We'll provide you with the training and support you need to succeed. One thing you must bring and share is a great attitude. What we do is important and we are passionate about exceeding our own and our customers' expectations.

What you'll be doing

Put simply, this role is about people and quality. You will be working as part of a team to administer activities that will produce question papers for our customers. In a bit more detail this includes:
  • Working as part of a team on a portfolio of assessment materials
  • Updating and monitoring internal systems that facilitate and track question paper production
  • Supporting our logistics colleagues with the print and dispatch process
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and providing them with materials and updates to help them meet deadlines. This would include assessors, assessment managers and our external studio.

Returning to the themes of people and quality, the main things you would be 'doing' are collaborating and innovating. This means being responsible for working with others to produce amazing products and finding new ways to improve how we work: effectiveness and efficiency.

What we're looking for

We're looking for people who believe in standards, take initiative and pride in their work. People who are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to something important. People who value the benefits and possibilities of being a colleague in a large and forward thinking team.

Skills
  • Focused on giving the best customer service by phone or e-mail
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation
  • Quick learner, especially with regards to procedures and technology
  • Able to manage and prioritise time effectively to meet tight and conflicting deadlines.
  • Accurate with data when using Microsoft Excel and Word, and other internal systems.

Experience
  • Consistently delivered high performance in relation to expectations
  • Getting the best out of colleagues (influencing)
  • Delivery of varying workloads to agreed schedules and quality standards

Behaviours
  • Collaborative and people-centric: it's a team effort
  • Thoughtful and proactive: high intent, strongly executed
  • Composed, present and resilient: everyone in our team is a role model
