Sheridan Maine are working with an international family run manufactorer based in rugby who are looking for a finance assistant to support a newly created team.You would be working for a multimillion pound business who are embarking on a new challenge developing a new department.

Role

As the Finance assistant your role will be to assist the finance manager as her number 2 in managing, processing and reporting on various accounts and transactions.

Duties

- Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of Purchacing;
- Manage end to end purchase ledger for 100+ accounts
- Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
- Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct
- Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients
- Assist the Finance Manager in creating financial reports on a regular basis
- Adhere to the company's or organisation's financial policies and procedures
- Answers question and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed
- Attend finance department and company-wide meetings, sometimes assisting with financial reporting to managers and senior executives
- Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.
- Credit Control - at all levels

The right person for this role will have experience working in an SME or family run enviroment. There is opportunity to develop and coin processes and improve reporting and analytics. This is a great opportunity to get involved in management accounts, ownership over ledger and exposure to general ledger duties.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

- Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field
- Desire or actively studying for a professional accounting qualification

Offer

£24,000 - £28,000 P/A
