Our client, based near Bromsgrove, a very successful services business, is seeking a Finance Manager as part of their ongoing expansion. Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Finance Team and ensuring the timely production of month and year end financial reports plus the consolidation of the accounts for the various operating/subsidiary companies within the Group.

Key duties will include:

Financial

Produce budgets, reforecasts and long-term financial plans

Oversee the production of the Monthly and Year End Management Accounts

Produce a monthly set of Financial KPI’s, including Finance Report and variance analysis

Present to the Senior Management Team as and when required

Responsible for cash management and cash flow forecasting

Take overall responsibility for maintaining debtor days within agreed KPI and deal with any credit control escalation issues

Assisting the Finance Director with underwriting decisions

Supporting the Senior Management Team with financial planning and analysis on an ad-hoc basis

Management

Oversee the day to day running of all financial activities

Provide management support, mentoring and guidance to enable team members to achieve their personal targets

Support the FD with the recruitment and induction process for new starters

Support the FD with the appraisal and performance management of the Finance Team

General

Assist with the regulatory and compliance work load

Maintain accurate records and update the various systems used within the business

Any other reasonable task as requested from time to time

Experience/skills required:

Newly Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience

Experience of asset finance/CAPEX would be an advantage

Excellent communication skills both written and oral

A 'Can Do’ attitude

Must be 'Above the Line’

Able to prioritise workload

Attention to detail essential

Must be able to work well as part of a team as well as working on own initiative

Good level of commercial acumen

Well presented

Excellent work ethic

Good general standard of education

Full driving licence

IT Literate - e.g. FleetWare, SAGE, OpenCRM, Telephone, PC (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
