An expanding organisation based in Liverpool city centre is looking for an experienced Stock Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. Joining an innovative, market leading organisation this is the ideal role for a candidate with experience within the Manufacturing/Engineering industry. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Stock Controller will be tasked with manging the stock process, a candidate with a financial background would be preferred. This will include accurately monitoring all stock movement and ensuring the integrity of the system, reconciliation of purchase orders and managing suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity with a company who have ambitious yet realistic growth plans for the future.

The Stock Controller will be responsible for:

  • Monitor and track incoming stock from Purchase Orders, create stock receipts to accurately match incoming stock
  • Manage the reconciliation of purchase orders and stock receipts
  • Ensure that stock delivered/converted is available in stock within the system to allow invoicing to be completed as required
  • Proactively manage suppliers to ensure that delivery notes and information are received within appropriate time scales
  • Develop and implement new inventory control models to ensure stock movements are recorded accurately
  • Preparing detailed costing analysis by product and location for all stock and assisting the Management Accountant with stock analysis

Essential Requirements are:

  • Previous experience within a stock controller role, with an emphasis on financial impact/influence
  • Manufacturing or similar industry would be beneficial
  • Strong IT skills
  • Previous experience of developing and implementing processes and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
