What it's about

This is an opportunity to work in a busy IT environment as Programme Support Administrator, providing assistance to the programmes and projects across Business Technology Services. Working within the Project Management Office, you will be assisting multiple Project Managers running projects using Waterfall and Agile methodology. The role of Programme Support Administrator will provide experience of many aspects of working on a project, including planning, finances, resourcing and Risks and Issues management.

What you'll be doing

Co-ordinate the cycle of information capture, processing and reporting with Project governance, meetings and other activities:
  • Maintenance of project and programme data (across Project systems Planview/Project Online, Excel, SharePoint and SAP SRM)
  • Document and maintain Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Decisions logs
  • Support project financial management; assist the project managers in maintaining the financial tracking of project finances to ensure accurate recording
  • Notes and Actions recording and meeting admin support as required
  • Support to the production of Executive reports and presentations
  • Assisting in the maintenance of project plans to ensure that they remain accurate and up-to-date
  • Ad-hoc administrative duties, including setting up meetings, room bookings, organising systems access, etc.

What we're looking for


A very good standard of both numeracy and literacy is required for clear and concise communication of information and for understanding and explaining project financials and budgets, etc. A level qualifications (or demonstrable equivalent capability/experience) is desirable, with good Mathematics & English GCSE qualifications (or equivalent)

  • IT literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint in particular
  • Multi-tasking and ability to prioritise tasks with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to improve and learn new IT applications

  • Experience of SharePoint, SAP SRM and Planview would be highly advantageous
  • Appreciation of basic project management principles
  • Experience of working in a busy project environment


• Personable, flexible and comfortable in a changing and challenging environment

• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
