Policy Fellow and Lead Patient Safety
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Policy Fellow and Lead in Patient Safety for the Centre for Health Policy, Institute of Global Health Innovation
The post-holder will lead the Patient Safety Translational Research Centre (PSTRC), alongside the academic director Professor Ara Darzi. This is a £7.2m grant awarded to Imperial College and Imperial College Healthcare Trust by the National Institute for Health Research. The principal partners of the grant include the Clinical Safety Research Unit, the Centre for Infection Prevention and Management, the Dr Foster Unit, the Centre for Medication Safety, and the Centre for Health Policy.
Duties and responsibilities
The post holder will be required to work with an interdisciplinary team and set out the growth strategy to enable the unit to conduct high impact research and support researchers throughout the Centre. Responsibilities will include leading the application for further funding for the Centre.
The post holder will be expected to have experience in leading international initiatives in the field of patient safety and to have previous experience in health policy research and publications. It is essential for the successful applicant to have experience in leading a Masters-level programme and the ability to manage projects independently, to the highest standard within budget and to tight deadlines .
The post will be full-time and fixed term for three years.
