Psychologically informed practice plays an essential part in management of the patient with chronic pain. The Pain Service at Broomfield Hospital provides multidisciplinary pain management programmes for suitable candidates in line with British Pain Society guidelines. The post-holder will be involved in assessment of patients and participation in these multi-disciplinary, educational programmes modelled on the Acceptance and Commitment Therapeutic (ACT) approach.
Patients assessed as suitable for 1:1 engagement, either as preparation for group work or as short term therapeutic intervention will form part of the caseload for this post.
Efficient and robust administrative support is provided to facilitate smooth-running of clinical services, and supervision is available on site.

MEHT contracts are subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period.
All Registered Nurse/Midwife/Theatre Practitioner or ODP you will be required to take a Drug Calculation Test. (please note 100% pass mark required)
All HCA/HCSW/MCA will be required to take a Literacy and Numeracy test (80% pass required) as part of the pre employment process.
