Trustee (Voluntary Position)

Transform Housing & Support helps people to live independent and fulfilling lives. We provide housing, care and support for many vulnerable and socially excluded people across Surrey and in parts of Berkshire, West Sussex and the London Borough of Sutton. As a respected organisation, Transform exercises a degree of influence on policy at both a local and national level. We are a smartly-run housing association, homecare provider and charity. We have clear objectives, are driven by ethics and have a strong sense of social responsibility.

Our sector works in challenging times, but we regularly win tenders and bids, securing statutory and non-statutory contracts. In addition, we seek to deliver a step change in voluntary income helping to deliver additional positive outcomes for our clients as well as provide added value to our growth and diversification plans.

Responsibilities:

- Acting as a member of the Board team, contributing to the fulfilment of the Board’s terms of reference and sharing responsibility for Board decisions.
- Attending and contributing to meetings of the Board and its committees and working groups.
- Performing to the highest personal standards in-line with the Board’s expectations and acting only in the interests of Transform as a whole.
- Determining strategic direction and policy alongside fellow Board members.
- Sharing responsibility for Board decisions.

About you:

We want to broaden our Board’s skills base, knowledge and networks and seek people who can help us to think long term and strategically. Whilst sector experience is not essential, we are interested in professionals who have a background or expertise in the following fields: legal, marketing.

In addition, living or working within our geographical footprint will be advantageous.

You may have experience of the following: Trustee, Philanthropist, Charity, Not for Profit, NFP, Charities, Governance, Grants, Donations, Major Gifts, Volunteering, Housing Association, Board Member, Chairperson, Care & Support etc.
