Development Programme Manager (Housing Association) 

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 hours per week 
Location: Head office, South Manchester

About the role: 

Reporting to the Head of Development, the Development Programme Manager’s key responsibility, as an essential member of the team, is to play a key role in the delivery of the organisations development strategy to achieve the Corporate Plan ambition of developing 8,000 new homes over the next 10 years. 

You will play a key role in the delivery and administration of the Great Places’ SOAHP and Strategic Partnership programmes with Homes England. Generating and securing new mixed tenure development opportunities is an essential part of the role along with driving new schemes through to start on site; line management of team members and the programme management of team members projects is a central part of the role and support towards the delivery of wider corporate objectives is expected. 

About You: 

The successful candidate will have at least two years’ experience in a property development background and will have knowledge of the property development process, the land market and Homes England programme requirements.. You will also have knowledge about the current operating environment and changing market conditions. A thorough understanding of contract procurement and contract management is also essential. 

Additionally, you will have a track record of project management with delivery on time, on budget and to agreed quality standards. The ability to work within a prescribed framework but also to think creatively to resolve problems is essential and you will also have familiarity with Homes England’s requirements. Experience of working for a developing Housing Association and of working with public funds is also essential. 

You will have proven management skills, both strategic and operational across multi-disciplinary teams. A degree level qualification and relevant professional memberships are desirable. You must have the ability to travel between sites and to meet external commitments working flexibly and when needed outside normal working hours. 

You may have experience of the following: Development Programme Manager, Development Manager, Development Project Manager, Development Officer, Housing Development Manager, Property Manager, Housing Manager, Business Development Manager, etc.
