This is an exciting post providing excellent opportunities for a pharmacy technician to become an integral member of the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) team. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide pharmaceutical care to patients across three HSCP community hospitals and the Hospital at Home service. As a member of the HSCP pharmacy team you will work alongside clinical pharmacists and fellow pharmacy technicians to develop the pharmacy service across these areas. You will have a key clinical role in contributing to medicines reconciliation, advising on medicines related queries and promoting prescribing in line with NHS Fife Joint Formulary. This post will also involve quality improvement work to promote safe, effective prescribing and reduce medicines waste.

We are looking for a technician with experience in hospital, community and/or primary care whose career has demonstrated use of initiative, project management skills and excellent communication skills.

Good team working and interpersonal skills are essential and experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams in any care setting would be desirable. You will also be involved in education and training of other staff.

A commitment to continuing professional development is essential. Applicants must be flexible and have the ability to travel to different locations throughout Fife.
