Your new company
You will be working for a globally recognised and reputable manufacturer based in Rotherham, with easy access from the surrounding areas such as Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Chesterfield and Leeds.
Your new role
In your role as Purchasing Manager, you must be able to hit the ground running as you will be responsible for all purchasing on site. You will be required to keep track of all cost savings by updating all internal systems with forecasting and also organise any supplier meetings, when required. You will be raising purchase orders for all materials, consumables and services, ensuring the timely delivery of each.
You will be required to negotiate with all suppliers to ensure the best price possible for goods and present all results for quarterly and group meetings, potentially based at wider sites across the UK. You will monitor supplier performance and advise on any issues.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be ambitious and driven, as you will have to hit the ground running. You will be self-motivated as this is a standalone role, which will allow for autonomy within the Purchasing team.
You will be CIPS qualified or working towards and hold experience within manufacturing. You will hold experience in a similar role and be an advanced user of Excel.
