Our Technology Returners programme is designed to support experienced technologists, who have taken a career break for more than 12 months, to re-enter the workforce at HSBC.
You will join a community of professionals who are returning to work at the same time as you. We will support you with training and development designed to refresh your skills and build upon your work experience to date.
As part of the programme, you will be invited to an exclusive returner’s event to explore suitable technology roles aligned with your career aspirations. Upon joining HSBC, you will be offered a tailored induction, followed by the opportunity to join a live project from day one. You will be matched with a buddy, a mentor and a work coach to answer your questions, helping you build your professional network and navigate around the bank.

Enterprise Architecture and Design
Process and Automation
DevOps Tooling and Engineering
Data Management and Analytics
IT Portfolio and Programme Management
The technology team drives key projects across the business and functions of the bank, this includes Commercial Banking, Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Global Private Banking, Global Banking and Markets, and other Global Function areas.
To be part of the Technology Returner programme you should meet the following requirements:
Have been on a career break for more than 12 months
Have vast experience working in Technology
Are able to take up a permanent role in London, UK
