Senior Catering Assistant
Located within the stunning countryside of Suffolk, Alton Water Park stretches across some 400 acres.
Attracting visitors who are out for a leisurely stroll, on the many walking trails and nature walks, or those that are after more adrenaline-filled action on the cycling track and taking part in the watersports activities. There is also the opportunity for visitors to enjoy a day on the water fishing.
What will you be doing?
Our Tea Room and soon to be opening, Watersports Café, is stocked with homemade treats and a selection of locally-sourced refreshments, it's the perfect spot come rain or shine.
We are looking for a Senior Catering Assistant to join our Catering Team, you'll provide an excellent customer service to our many visitors each week. As well as the essential day to day tasks within the café, you'll work closely with the Team Leader, preparing and cooking an appetising menu and bringing out your creative side by contributing ideas for new events and promotions to attract more visitors.
You'll be required to assist with training and deputising for the Team Leader as required in order to maintain an efficient and profitable catering service.
What do you need?
To be successful, you'll have previous experience in a similar role, where you have prepared and cooked food, provided exceptional customer service and obtained your basic Food Hygiene certificate. Previous experience of supervising a team is an advantage.
This role will include regular weekend and Bank Holiday working and the catering outlets are open 7 days a week. Due to the seasonal nature of the park, your hours may vary through the seasons.
