Do you have a high attention to detail and do you have previous experience dealing with pricing and costing?
Are you looking to join a small friendly team within a company that is expanding and growing?

My client on the outskirts of Ipswich are looking for someone to join their team as a Costing Administrator due to winning a new contract and the company expanding. They are an engineering company so if you do have relevant industry experience, that will be an advantage but is not essential.

Duties will include but not be limited to the following:
Producing quotations for potential jobs and analysing received requests to ensure that nothing extra needs to be added.
Ensure that work is completed to set deadlines.
Adhering to the company rates for costings
Providing support to management when required
Liaise with SHEQ and project management to formulate prequalification’s for future tenders.
Creates new tender folders on the online system.
Performs calculation work for applications/tenders and sets risks associated with each project.
Quantifies volumes, sets the price and determines the appropriate treatment standards (man-hours per unit of work).
Selects, collects, monitors and compares received price information about materials that can be introduced as basic information in the tender budget.
Ensure that commercial, insurance, contractual and financial obligations correspond to the guidelines of the company

Why you?
You will ideally have exceptionally strong administration skills and be good with numbers. This role does require you to be competent with IT and in particular Excel and Word and if you do have Office 365 this will be an advantage. They are looking for someone that is hard-working, focused but also has a good sense of humour. If you do have experience within a technical or similar role or have a technical mind-set with an ability to pick things up quickly, this will help as you may occasionally need to communicate regarding mechanical aspects and enquiries.

What’s in it for you?
Salary is £20,000 per annum and holiday is 25 days per annum plus bank holidays. There is a pension scheme and they do attend social events as a team. Hours are Monday to Friday 8am-5pm. There are more fantastic benefits available including your fuel paid for to and from work.
