Position: Advocate 
Location: Leicester, Leicestershire 
Contract type: Part Time, Permanent 
Hours: 21 per week 
Salary: £12,207 actual per annum

About the role: 

We are looking for a well-motivated person to join our team who can provide Care Act Advocacy as well as Independent Advocacy to support people living with dementia and their carers in Leicester City. The successful candidate will need to have an understanding of the principles of advocacy and be able to represent the views, feelings, values and beliefs of the people that you are supporting and ensuring that their rights are protected also. 

About you: 

Excellent communication skills are a must, you will need to either possess a Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) – Learning disability, Dementia & General Pathways (previously NVQ level 3) and /or Social Care or equivalent qualification and experience and have or will be willing to work towards the National Advocacy Qualification. We are looking for someone with the right mix of enthusiasm, professionalism and someone who can manage their time effectively is a must.
