Activities Coordinator (Music Group)

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. 

Position: Singing for the Brain Leader 
Location: Hackney and City, London
Contract type: Part Time, Permanent 
Hours: 3.5 per week 
Salary: £2,292 actual per annum

About the role: 

Musician needed to lead on one of Alzheimer’s Singing for the Brain groups in Havering, for people with dementia and their carers. The group is on Wednesday 10.30-1pm. 

We won’t expect you to run the sessions alone though as we have a good team of volunteers and a peer group facilitator who will provide you with practical help. In turn you will need to provide them with ongoing support and help to introduce new starters into the groups. 

About you: 

You will have to be able to play a musical instrument and be aware of songs from 50’s to 70’s. 

You will have experience on facilitating and leading a group, inspired with music and dancing.
