Experienced Finance Manager sought by insurance company to manage the provision of relevant, reliable and timely information for internal/external reporting purposes. The role will also include managing the accounting processes including month end, quarter end and year end in order to ensure all internal reporting deadlines and to assist in ensuring all external statutory and regulatory solvency deadlines are met.
Duties and Responsibilities
To manage the finance function on a day to day basis.
To manage the flow of information to be submitted monthly to the insurance management team.
To help maintain and develop relationships with the insurance management team.
To review the credit control process and instigate improvement to process where needed.
To oversee the design, testing and implementation of a cash allocation and debtors system.
To manage unallocated cash and aged debtors and reinsurance closings.
To assist/develop the forecasting process.
To represent finance considerations as part of the development of a new underwriting and reporting system.
To assist in the enhancement and development of finance processes and controls especially in relation to internal and external reporting.
To assist in the efficient execution of the external audit and the production of audit information prior to and during the audit process.
To assist in maintaining external relationships with bankers, auditors, actuaries and other external advisers in order to obtain best possible outcomes for the company.
Qualified CIMA/ ACA or ACCA.
Insurance industry or financial services experience is essential.
Solvency II knowledge (preferred but not essential).
