The role

RM Resources, part of RM Group have a brilliant opportunity for a Buying Assistant. The role will be based at Nottingham NG17 9LE. The office is modern and has a great feel and culture.
On offer will be will be a competitive market rate salary and bonus, plus enhanced benefits as listed at the base of this advert. The role will report into the Senior Buyer and be part of the Procurement team.

RM Resources is a multi-channel provider with an annual turnover of approximately £120m. It specialises in curriculum and educational resources for schools and nurseries, with a strong presence both in the UK and internationally. We are comprised of multiple brands with our leading identities being TTS and Consortium. The role of the Procurement team is to ensure both availability of product, at the lowest cost, ensuring quality standards and, on time delivery is achieved.

The Buying Assistant will be targeted on their ability to aid in the achievement of the team's key targets, alongside having their own individual objectives to ensure we are delivering exceptional service to our customers. They are responsible for supporting in all aspects of the team's functions. The role holder will acquire, at optimal cost and lead times, all external purchases to support the business.

Skills & experience

  • Good technical skills, including confident use of Excel and Office
  • Experience of successfully managing multiple accounts
  • Excellent administrative experience
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to work closely with a variety of teams and individuals
  • Self-motivated
  • Experience of raising POs in a structured manner and seeing orders through to fulfilment.
