Sales Order Processor - Inbound & Outbound

* Do you have at least 2 years of taking customer orders via phone calls?
* Do you have experience of outbound calls to former/lapsed customer to re-engage them?
* Do you have excellent administration skills?
* Are you able to reach Aintree on a daily basis?

Our Aintree based client needs a new team member with experience of taking inbound calls from customers placing orders, as well as making some outbound calls to lapsed/former customers on the database to seek orders, to contribute towards a joint income target.
The client sells a huge range of church supplies, from candles to church furnishings, therefore any knowledge of the church may be an advantage, but is not essential.
The company has a showroom area, where a wide range of products are displayed, and the role will at times (although not very often) involve you showing visiting customers the products on display.
You will work as part of a team of 6, working in a large office area, where most staff have been with the company for 10+ years. There is a positive team relationship, this is a team that gets on well and at times socialises together.
Ideally you will be an upbeat friendly team player, a natural problem solver with a strong work ethic, keen to see a job through to its completion to ensure a satisfied customer.

Duties of the role will involve - But are not limited to:

* Taking inbound calls from regular customers across the South West & South East of the UK, acting as their sole point of contact to assist
* Taking details of their orders, processing the order on the system
* Providing customers with verbal & written information on pricing
* Providing information & advice to customers on stock availability, pricing, delivery dates, requests for promotional literature, product specifications etc
* Advising customer of any offers, discounts and special promotions
* To upsell & cross sell other products where possible
* Creating & providing quotations for less common/higher value items (training given)
* Assisting customers with any queries they may have, providing the highest levels of customer service
* To encourage customer loyalty, to avoid loss of customers to competitors


* Working to set targets, looking up customers on the database to identify who to call
* Making contact with the former customer, discussing their current buying habits
* Seeking to encourage the customer to return to placing orders with the company
* Advising them of offers, discounts and special promotions
* Assuring the customer that there is now a single point of contact for them, for any queries
* Developing relationships with these potential returning customers


* To book appointments with any customers wishing to visit the showroom, liaising with the Regional Sales Manager regarding these
* Showing customers around the professional showroom area on the company premises, answering questions regarding the products to assist them to buy (training will be given)


* Assisting Regional Sales Manager with requests for information on stock availability, pricing, delivery dates, requests for promotional literature, product specifications etc
* Processing customer orders fully & correctly
* Ensuring price lists and discounts are maintained
* To ensure customer paperwork is filed where necessary
* Liaise with Credit Control where needed
* Help to maintain the customer database by adding in new detail & removing old data
* Opening new customer accounts on the system (training given)
* Raising paperwork for proposals unless a bespoke product, in which case a special price will be obtained from the relevant department.

The Company
A well-established business that has been trading for over 130 years, the company sells a wide range of church supplies, such as candles, furnishings, vestments, communion items, wines, chalices, altar breads, statues and more. The company sells to customers all over the UK, which is splits into 4 regions. With most of the employees staying with the company for the long term, this is a fair employer who wishes to reward those who work hard in their roles, hence the opportunity to earn £5,000 on top of the basic wage in this role.

The salary
Salary range is £18,500 - £21,500 with £5,000 bonus paid in quarters on achievement of targets- The salary awarded is dependent on suitability to the role & experience.

Permanent full time role, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm over 4 days, 8.30am - 5pm 1 day a week.
