What you'll be doing

  • You will be responsible for the day to day management of operational tasks in your team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of results.
  • Promote a self-reflecting culture in your team, encouraging and reacting well to feedback.
  • Review operational schedules and quality standards, promoting continuous improvement at a procedural level.
  • Conduct lessons learnt review meetings to ensure operational processes are fit for purpose.
  • Build relationships for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Operations within Cambridge International and the wider Cambridge Assessment Group.
  • Ensure that communication between departments is open and ongoing to maintain a collaborative environment.
  • Motivate and provide direction to your team to achieve their goals.
  • Implement any new policies and procedures.
  • Identify any skill or knowledge gaps in the team and deploy a training and development programme.
  • Train staff and managers to ensure that everyone is performing in their role.

Reporting to the Exam Processing Assistant Manager, the post holder will lead their team to successfully deliver time sensitive and critical business processes. Part of the Operations Division, the Exam Processing Group plays a key role by handling, managing and coordinating data, processes and systems - from setting up system and reference data, producing admin materials, managing school entries and candidate information, ensuring that the millions of pieces of candidate work are marked, managing quality assurance activity, and getting the right marks to enable the issue of results on time to all of our schools and candidates.
