Internal Sales Account Manager


£18,000 - £22,000 Dependant on experience.


• Management of allocated accounts, speaking to a scheduled amount of clients per day

• Update system information and resurrecting accounts as appropriate

• Diary management including follow up calls

• Concentration on client retention by keeping in touch

• Management of customer stocks

• Taking and placing orders – high level of attention to detail required

• Receiving and submitting enquiries for pricing then managing the process to secure work

• Forwarding quotations to customers and following up within a sensible time frame

• Dealing with customer queries promptly, seeking help as necessary

• Seeing walk-in customers

• Processing customer sample requests and following such items up

• Liaising with Stock Control and Transport in relation to orders / deliveries

• Telephone answering and redirecting calls to other departments

• Chasing payment on pro-forma sales invoices

• Flexible to accommodate the office and supporting colleagues.

• Any other ad hoc activities as and when required

Skills preferred:

• Prior experience of B2B sales

• Have the ability to work on their own initiative and priorities their own workload

• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, with a strong sense of attention to detail

• Ability to take responsibility for all aspects of stock availability

• Good numeracy and literacy skills

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday – 40 working hours per week

60 minutes unpaid lunch

This is a full time role

9am – 6pm


• Starting Salary: £18'000.00+ negotiable depending on experience

• 20 days holiday per year + statutory bank holidays.
