• Qualified Science teacher with Physics specialism to degree level or higher
• Experience in teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 with specific Key Stage 5 Physics teaching
• Delivering high quality lessons.
• Regularly mark and provide feedback to children in accordance with the school policy.
• Have a regard to the curriculum for the School, with a view to promoting the development of the abilities and aptitudes of the children in any class or group assigned.
• Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of children.
• Ensuring the effective/ efficient deployment of classroom support.
• Effectively using ICT to support teaching and learning.
• Promoting the general progress and well-being of individual children and of any class or group of children assigned.
• Making records of and reports on the personal and social needs of children.
• Communicating and consulting with the parents of children.
• Communicating and co-operating with persons or bodies outside the school.
• Participating in meetings arranged for any of the purposes described above.

You must be:

- supportive and positive with students and colleagues
- work effectively to time constraints
- be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
- be committed to safe guarding and protection of students and hold a current DBS certificate, which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
