Becoming a Finance Assistant with Travel & Events
To ensure that all relevant aspects of financial control are correctly adhered to and timely reporting on financial reconciliations are carried out. This position is responsible for posts into the nominal ledger, purchase ledger and general upkeep of accounts.
What you will do:
Ensuring all CTE credit cards are reconciled, queries are dealt with and allocations remain up to date - CTE6
Amex/Visa credit card reconciliation and upload
Management fees and Rebates - ensuring all manual fees/rebates are calculated and correctly sent out to each client
Insight fees and contract analysis - set up of system fees and rebates including liaising with account managers/implementations, contract analysis, dealing with queries and Insight fee set up
Rail reconciliations - reconciling on a timely basis both the TOD and BR23 rail reconciliations and ensuring all clients have been correctly refunded/all invoices has correctly been billed out
Rail refunds - Processing rail refunds in the Evolvi systems
Supplier reconciliation - reconciliation of key suppliers and ensuring payment is made on time
Derby Finance Mailbox - monitoring the Derby finance mailbox and responding to email queries
Balance Sheet Reconciliation - ensuring all assigned balance sheet reconciliations are correctly produced
Month End - Providing assistance to the finance team manager where required in assisting with month end processes
Your experience will include:
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Minimum Grade C GCSE in Maths & English
Ideally some general accounting experience, ie purchase ledger, reconciliations
Experience of working in a team environment
Studying towards the AAT qualification or completed AAT
Intermediate Excel Skills required
Able to prioritise and meet strict deadlines
Sage/SAP experience desirable
