Care in Mind provide residential services for young people aged 16-25 years old who have been discharged from psychiatric inpatient stays or secure children’s homes. The young people we care for often require a high level of support and dynamic approach to risk management to support problems they may have with self-harming, behaviour and emotional regulation.
Our aim is to support the young people using a therapeutic approach to live in a non-secure community setting and to achieve their individual goals in preparation for transition to adult life.
Due to an expansion in service delivery we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals who thrive in a multi-disciplinary environment and are particularly interested in working with young people and young adults with complex difficulties.
Position: Residential Services Manager
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £36,644 to £40,242.10 per annum (pay award pending)

About the role:
Your role will be to support the Head of Residential Services to ensure the operational effectiveness of the service across North West England.
You will manage a team of experienced Residential Hub Leads ensuring the aims of Care in Mind are achieved within the Residential Homes. You will conduct Well Led inspections across the services and ensure that services are CQC compliant. You will ensure that safeguarding, investigation and disciplinary procedures are managed fairly and confidentially.
A key part of your role will be to project manage new home / hub openings with agile planning from inception and to ensure project management tools are used for effective delegation of work load required from all departments. You will also be responsible for the overall management of all Estates Maintenance with support from a small team.
This is a challenging but exciting role and would suit an experienced Service Manager who has previous residential and mental health experience. Ideally you will be level 5 qualified in a related health or social care discipline and will have previous experience of managing teams. You will also be required to have a good understating of the CQC inspection framework and experience of improving service performance.
