Specialist (Geospatial / GIS)
Develop reporting and geospatial applications to make intelligence more accessible, supported by structured design, data models, workflows and documentation for effective delivery and update.
Maintain, expand and continually review the core intelligence environment, manage new and existing external intelligence updates, and publish intelligence to make it accessible while continuing to improve workflows, automation and cross system connectivity.
Implement appropriate standards (e.g. information management, coding) to ensure developed intelligence and data can be easily interpreted by others.
Adopt appropriate change management processes for data and systems changes and manage associated risk.
Identification of new innovative techniques and technology which will drive forward the use of intelligence and geospatial capabilities.
Working with external partners and data suppliers to identify and support the procurement of further sources of intelligence to improve our understanding of places.
Working across the business and with external partners to produce meaningful, usable outputs that align with and enhance projects to support corporate priorities and strategic objectives.
Working closely with specialist teams across the agency to support development of homes and places, providing advice on using geospatial intelligence and capabilities.
Actively contribute to the work of the wider Spatial Solutions team to develop self-service analytical and geospatial web tools (APIs) and data services, such as the Geospatial Data and Analysis Platform (GDAP), across Homes England and the wider housing sector to support collaboration
Actively lead, motivate and manage staff, undertaking all aspects of line management responsibility.
Deliver any other duties that are commensurate with the post.
