What you'll be doing

As a SAP Basis Consultant, you will:
  • Planning and delivering the next smart and innovative solution for our SAP Core Systems as we move to SAP Digital Core - S/4HANA.
  • Ensure the solutions you're delivering meet expectations and operate reliably and efficiently in a secure environment. This includes assisting with the configuration and maintenance of High Availability and Disaster Recovery for the SAP Solutions
  • Consult on the new technology and enhancements being delivered via the new SAP S/4HANA platform including upgrade paths and architecture.
  • Deliver quality project documentation for the SAP innovations you're involved in.
  • Provide support for other applications and services as requested by the SAP Basis team leader
  • Carry out research and proof of concept work of new technology

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Expert technical knowledge of SAP Netweaver/HANA/Cloud
  • Able to map technical business needs to SAP architectures, standards and reusable assets
  • A good understanding of Service Management processes
  • A proactive team player able to confidently collaborate with onsite and offshore team members alike.
  • Highly motivated to deliver outstanding results whilst conveying a positive attitude.
  • Directly supporting senior leaders to make strategic decisions through your technical input into projects.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in SAP technology that you have gained through continuous professional development
  • Knowledge of relevant methodologies such as Scrum / Agile / SAP Activate
  • Able to solve the difficult problems that others may struggle to deal with.
  • Thrives under the pressure of project and management deadlines
