Family Engagement Worker 

An exciting role working for a national charity. 

Pact (Prison Advice & Care Trust) is a National charity which support people affected by imprisonment. They work in prisons and communities across England and Wales to provide practical support to prisoners' children and families, and to prisoners themselves. 

Position: Family Engagement Worker 
Location: HMP Foston Hall, Derby 
Job type: Part time, Permanent 
Hours: 5.5 hours per week 
Salary: £10.25 per hour

About the role: 

Working with the Family Services Manager at HMP Foston Hall you will with focus on delivering a small caseload and organising Family Day visits. 

About you: 

To be successful as a Family Engagement Worker you will work closely with the Family Engagement Manager and prison staff to plan, resource and manage Family Days as well as managing a small caseload. 

You will provide support and ensure that children, families and prisoners are treated with respect, dignity and courtesy and ensure their needs are considered and views are heard at all levels.

This post is subject to a 6 month probationary period, verification of identity and proven right to work in the UK, satisfactory HMPPS / MoJ Security Vetting, satisfactory employer references covering a minimum of 3 years and a satisfactory enhanced DBS. Please note that being recently bankrupt or having County Court Judgements may affect your ability to be successfully vetted to work in a prison.
