Head of Sentinel & Programme Delivery, Airborne ISR

Summary of Role:
Raytheon UK is looking for a dynamic and high performing senior leader for the role of Head of Sentinel Support within Raytheon’s Airborne ISR Mission Area.
Reporting to the Managing Director Airborne ISR, the role will involve the management of the Sentinel R Mk 1 Platform for provision of current support arrangements and the sustainment strategy.
This role will have overall programme delivery responsibility for programmes of significant operational and strategic importance.
This role also includes responsibility for the programme delivery function for Airborne ISR within a matrix organisation.

This is a complex and challenging role that will be highly rewarding and high profile, with extensive communication and interfacing requirements with the Prime Senior Customer community, programme stakeholders, demanding excellent communication and interpersonal skills and high levels of energy and stamina.
The work location will primarily be based at our Lincoln facility with frequent visits to customer other company sites in the UK and potential for occasional travel to the US.

Main Duties:
The Head of Sentinel Support will be responsible for:
Ensuring programmes are delivered in accordance with customer requirements, to schedule and within budget.
Ensuring that effective programme management in accordance with Raytheon UK process is applied and maintained in the execution and delivery of all current programme requirements and future builds and the Sentinel Sustainment Project.
Ensuring programme execution best practice is implemented across Airborne ISR for both delivery programmes and pursuits.
Implementing a fully costed, fully resourced programme schedule with clear baseline management and change control in line with Raytheon UK process.
Delivery of programme to achieve all contractual Key Performance Indicators and financial performance in accordance with the Annual Operating Plan financial metrics.
Working in conjunction with the Airborne ISR Leadership team and cross functional leads to ensure that the required resources are available to support the Sentinel programmes.
Ensuring effective reporting on the status of programmes to the Airborne ISR business leadership
Effectively manage all Sentinel related Bids and Proposals
Ensuring that business goals, objectives and strategy are clearly communicated to the programme team and that the programme team are motivated to perform and deliver requirements

Proactive team leader who can motivate and lead by example
Able to build strong relationships with customers, peers and multidiscipline teams
Excellent Communication – written and verbal at all levels within the organisation and with the customer
Ability to understand technical programme challenges and establish innovative & creative solutions.

Education and Experience
Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Business Management
A successful track record in setting up and executing full lifecycle Defence Aerospace programmes preferably within a DAOS/MAOS environment
Established experience in business performance management and reporting methodologies
Detailed understanding of risk and opportunity management.
Bid and proposal management, winning new, repeat or follow on business through leading and supplying winning proposals
