Immigration Caseworker

My client is a specialist firm within Birmingham who are recognised for the high-quality legal services they offer. They are looking for an experienced Level 2 Accredited Immigration Caseworker to join their team, who will manage their own complex caseload.

Key duties:

  • Managing own caseload
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients, colleagues and third party agencies
  • Providing advice on UK immigration, appeals and litigation issues
  • Adhering to case compliance
  • Conducting research
  • Admin duties
  • Preparing cases for Immigration Tribunal
  • Representing clients at Immigration Tribunal
  • Applying for legal aid funding
  • Drafting pre action protocol letters

Key skills:

  • A proven track record of dealing with an Immigration caseload, ideally holding a Level 2 Accreditation
  • Updated knowledge of relevant immigration legislation and ability to apply this to caseload
  • Able to work on own initiative, self-motivated and resilient
  • Strong research skills
  • Excellent advocacy skills
  • Strong inter-personal skills and ability to take instructions

Salary is dependent upon experience
