Proposals Assistant / Proposals Administrator

We undertake a comprehensive range of civil engineering projects for a large and diverse range of clients. These include national bodies, regional clients from both the public and private sector, through to a number of local businesses.

Position: Proposals Assistant
Location: Sceptre House, Bamber Bridge, PR5 6AW
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £Negotiable

About the role:

We are looking to recruit a Proposals Assistant to work with our Proposals team. Reporting to the Proposals Co-ordinator, the key purpose of the role will be to provide support with administrative tasks associated with the preparation and submission of pre-qualification and tender documents relating to general civil engineering and rail related work streams.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Assist in the coordination & preparation of tenders.
- Preparation and maintenance of hard copy and live up to date electronic tender files and associated correspondence.
- Assist in the completion of PQQ & Expression of Interest documents.
- Edit, update and maintain CV library, bid library and technical photographic libraries.
- Edit, update and maintain organograms for PQQ / estimating / project purposes.
- Provide input and support in the production of case studies.
- Maintain a database of log-in information, key actions, expiry and renewal dates of client databases and internet portals.
- Work with the Proposals Co-ordinator to create information for the website and to develop best practice and innovation in support of ongoing development of the department.

About you:

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum NVQ2 in Business Administration. You will have a high level of sophistication in written and verbal communication and be comfortable producing reports and responses to questions. In addition, you will be fully conversant using Word and Excel. Training can be given in the use of Power Point, InDesign and PhotoShop.
