To provide a good quality landlord and housing support service to the tenants of a sheltered housing scheme, monitoring tenants’ well being and safety, and promoting, encouraging and supporting their continued independent living.

Educated to SVQ Level 2 in Social Services and Health or equivalent and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience
A current driving licence and/or use of a vehicle is required to manage the workload.

Scottish Social Services Council:
SSSC registration opens in 2017 with all Jobholders requiring registration by 2020. To obtain registration Jobholders must hold SVQ Level 2 in Social Care or Housing or equivalent recognised qualification and HSC24 Module “Ensure your own actions support the care, protection and well being of individuals”.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
