Robertson Bell are a specialist Finance and Fundraising recruitment agency for the not for profit and wider public sector based in Northampton. We offer a full training programme as well as at-desk coaching and on the job training which will arm you with all the skills in order to become a successful BD Executive.
This role is key to the success of Robertson Bell as the Business Development Executive will be responsible for bringing in new and repeat business to Robertson Bell. Their duties will include the following:
- Contacting new businesses regarding future recruitment plans
- Building relationships with existing clients in order to bring in jobs within teams
- Identifying and qualifying sales opportunities in key clients
- Selling Robertson Bell’s service in an approachable and professional manner
- Booking in client meetings with Consultants
- Attending client meetings to effectively understand the need of the client
- Establishing leads from a variety of methods and effectively chase these to gain business
- Follow up previous contact and track the process of recruitment processes

Previous experience in sales/recruitment is not essential by any means however, if you’ve had experience in a target-driven role, working heavily on outbound calls or any other business development role, these skills will be transferable and will be helpful during training. A key trait to this role is to be resilient and ambitious, there are huge rewards from a financial point of view however there will be a lot of rejection in the role so being able to pick yourself and carry on will be paramount in this role.
