Applications are invited for a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry. This is a substantive replacement post for 5 PA's.
The successful candidate will work closely with medical and dental consultant colleagues in the cleft lip and palate, head and neck cancer and hypodontia multidisciplinary teams providing specialist consultations and treatments for these patients.
The service offers a multidisciplinary-team-based approach in head and neck oncology, and cleft lip and palate, and works closely with consultants in the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery and Cancer services.
The combined department of oral and maxillofacial surgery and orthodontics is supported by a full-time maxillofacial technician, who has special expertise in maxillofacial prostheses.
You will have a Primary dental qualification with the GDC. You will be eligible for entry on Specialist Register or within three months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) at time of interview.
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about restorative dentistry topics with patients and colleagues.
Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.
From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
Informal enquiries about this post should be addressed to Mr Mark Thompson, Consultant in Maxillo-Facial Surgery ( [... Click Apply...]).
