Job Purpose

To manage the timely and accurate preparation and provision of monthly management accounts and related reporting.

Job Role

• Preparation of monthly management accounts for consolidated Mazars UK Group

• Preparation of Month flash report for consolidated Mazars UK group

• Preparation of other reporting and analysis as required

• Ensuring all reporting is accurate and timely.

• Adapt reporting as required for ongoing changes in the business.

• Supervise and manage the management accounts team of 3 ensuring tasks are completed.

• Liaise with the payables team to ensure information is complete and accurate.

• Proactively look to improve processes and gain efficiencies.

• Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis

• Deal with month end close down and year end rollover.

• Ensure integrity of integrations between different systems

• Assist financial controller on project work.

Person Specification

• Qualified accountant - ACA/ACCA or equivalent (essential) with at least 3-4 years PQE in a management accounts environment

• Intermediate - Advanced excel skills (i.e. familiar with using formulae, filters, pivots. lookups).

• Experience Microsoft Dynamics GP an advantage.

• Experience in a professional services environment an advantage.

• Able to manage your time effectively and work well with others in a team.

• Able to work to tight deadlines and manage pressure.

• Good communication and numerical skills, with an attention to detail.

• Able to deal with sensitive information

• Able to be flexible and adaptable to changing requirements of the role during the year.

• A positive “can-do” and pro-active attitude
