Award winning software house selling Financial and Procurement, ERP software and solutions and part of the one of the UK’s largest IT organisations is recruiting a new business sales professional, software sales business developer with experience of selling Financial and/or Procurement and/or ERP software into the Public and Government Sectors. You will have experience of the full commercial sales cycle as will you have knowledge of selling software ideally financial and/or procurement or ERP software.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

The new business software sales person will:

> The position will focus on creating opportunities for the company’s financials, procurement, and ERP software solutions focussing on public and government sectors which have been previously identified as target markets.

> Additionally, they will be responsible for providing the company with information regarding the key issues on an on-going basis as well as working with the Marketing team to ensure that marketing activity is properly focussed.

> Prospecting the marketplaces and identifying opportunities.

> Completing new business tender documentation, undertaking presentations and managing the sales cycle to completion including the construction of the contract.

> Sales Planning & Forecasting and general sales administration.

Essential Skills & Experience

The new business software sales person will have:

> Experience of Software sales into Finance and/or Procurement departments working at "C- level".

> A proven track-record in one, or more, of Public sector, Government, Local Authority, Local Government sectors- minimum of 2-3 years.

> Ability to network and access information from a large parent company

> Knowledge and experience in the Public, Government sector procurement cycle, rules, processes and procedures

> A good 'general’ understanding of the structure and overall objectives of the chosen markets Public sector, Government

> Track record in closure of complex deals exceeding £350K including licences & consultancy

> Able to manage multiple opportunities

> Accomplished at initial sales meetings and meeting the client

> Able to self-generate leads from cold calling

> Intelligent in determining a client's business requirements and whether the products being considered are suitable.

> Able to work with colleagues to decide whether the software or hardware needs adapting to meet the client's needs
