Mixed Tax Manager - SUPERB ROLE McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a Top Regional Accounting firm in Harrow who are looking for a Mixed Tax Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the Tax Partner and working within a large team, the role is a tax compliance & advisory position that would suit a qualified ACCA/ACA, qualified ATT/CTA tax specialist from another Accounting Firm, specialist Law Firm or Tax Boutique. Key duties include: • Preparing complex personal tax returns for a variety of company directors, HNWI’s and entrepreneurs (portfolio of around 250 clients) • Managing various tax advisory projects that non-residents, inheritance tax and capital gains • Reviewing corporate & personal tax returns in order to provide relevant advisory services, and submitting details to HMRC • Managing corporate tax compliance for businesses including PLC’s and Groups across various sectors • Providing intelligent and creative solutions to corporate tax issues in a pro-active manner • Identifying tax efficient opportunities for clients and liaising with partners on implementing those strategies • Managing junior tax staff and assisting with development, training and the appraisal process • Keeping all tax clients up to date with progress, advising them of payment deadlines and amounts to HMRC • Reviewing the tax work prepared by junior members of staff • Ensuring all tax assignments are completed within agreed budgets To be considered for the role you should have broad experience in a mixed tax role ideally, and be used to dealing with a wide variety of taxes – land taxes, CGT, re-organisations, share structures, non-residents, EMI schemes etc. Experience of overseeing junior staff would be preferred, along with being able to manage your own portfolio of tax clients. You should have a strong team work ethic and exceptional relationship building skills, work well under pressure yet still deliver on time and budget. On offer is a salary up to £70,000 depending on experience with excellent benefits including 25 days holiday, pension scheme and flexible benefits.
