Area Sales Manager – Competitive Salary – Leeds, West Yorkshire The Role MMM Medical Equipment UK require an experienced Area Sales Manager to manage our range of Industrial Line autoclaves and glass washers supplied to research companies, institutes, laboratories and both cGLP and cGMP applications. You will increase and drive sales predominantly in our southern UK territory, taking ownership of the products and developing into a product specialist. You will be creating and growing relationships with current and potential clients, generating new leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services to achieve personal and company sales objectives. You will also monitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilise those markets to expand revenue and ultimately grow the overall business. The key responsibilities of an Area Sales Manager include, but are not limited to: •Developing new sales strategies and models to impact southern sales performance •Evaluating sales strategies' effectiveness, able to understand what is working and what may need to change to have a positive impact on your area’s performance •Evaluating customers’ needs, interacting with clients, and listening and creating clear client pathways, building long lasting relationships with current and potential clients as a result •Meeting personal and team sales targets •Attending meetings, sales events and training •Reporting and providing feedback to management using financial statistical data and ongoing sales activity, managing your client database successfully •Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients individually and as part of a team •Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs, implementing new ideas effectively •Understanding and promoting company products and values •Preparing and submitting tender information for accurate quotation to meet client deadlines •Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services The Company MMM has been operating worldwide as one of the leading system providers in the service of health since 1954. The Person The key skills and qualities of an Area Sales Manager: •Over three years of field sales experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical, research and laboratory sector •A strong team player, but also self-motivated, driven and comfortable with lone working, and willing to travel up to 50% of the time •Competent computer skills and understanding of Microsoft software •Knowledge of different sales techniques and pipeline management •Critical thinker and problem-solving skills, as well as good time management skills and strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills •Understands basic mechanics surrounding installation of equipment and service to equipment; an understanding industry standard drawing packages is ideal If you are keen on joining this exciting, forward thinking company and taking the next step in your career, then please click the apply now button to find out more.
