An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join St. Helier's Band 6 Occupational Therapy Rotation. This is currently comprised of six rotational posts within the acute setting, averaging nine months per rotation. Rotations include General Medicine, Surgery, Care of the Elderly, and Early Rehabilitation Team, which together with the physiotherapists within these specialities jointly form the new Acute Hub; Orthopaedics and Acute stroke, each of which sit within their respective speciality hubs. Rotations may be subject to change with new opportunities and / or changing service needs.

We are looking for candidates with the relevant knowledge and skills and an enthusiasm to deliver and develop the OT service.
The postholder will be required to provide skilled occupational therapy input across the acute service, demonstrating sound assessment and treatment planning for referred patients. You will have the opportunity to gain supervisory skills with junior staff, technicians and students. The department is keen to involve all staff in developing and monitoring the service, and there will be opportunities for participation in projects, audit and service development.
The postholder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and other professionals, particularly in relation to patient enablement, and to assist in the development of good working relationships with statutory, voluntary and independent organisations and agencies.
The post is full time, working 37.5 hours across the working week, which includes participation in weekend and extended hours rotas, for which compensatory rest (and enhanced pay at weekends) are provided.
