Job Title: Support Officer, Curriculum Support

Contract: Part time, Fixed Term, Maternity Cover until May 2020

Hours: 3 day job share, 22.5 hours per week, Mon-Weds

Salary: £22,400-£30,300 FTE

What it's about

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, innovative team working to produce world class curriculum support and training. The role of the Support Officer will suit a candidate who is experienced in providing administrative support in a busy, office environment.

You will provide administrative support to both the Curriculum Support Team who develop teacher support materials and training, and the Publishing Team who manage the process by which published text books are endorsed by Cambridge as key support for our qualifications. You will need to work on a variety of systems including finance, meeting room management, websites and databases, phones and Skype.

What you'll be doing

You will be responsible for key administrative roles, for example:
  • dealing with payments and contracts
  • handling correspondence, booking rooms and equipment
  • maintaining and managing files and spreadsheets
  • updating our Publications Catalogue and liaising with our warehouse
  • managing multiple meetings and minutes
  • uploading data to websites and databases.

What we're looking for

Educated to A Level standard (or equivalent), with strong administrative experience, your proactive and professional approach will be highly valued as several types of task occur intermittently or in batches alongside the more regular business as usual. Your initiative and ability to prioritise and work to deadlines will ensure the efficient, accurate and timely delivery of tasks, and will have a fundamental impact on the smooth running of the Division. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential: you will be required to liaise with people at all levels within the organisation and externally, demonstrating your tact and discretion appropriately. You will also need a high level of numeracy and IT skills.

The post could potentially extend to cover additional days (Thursday and/or Friday) going forward so please state in your covering letter whether you think you would be interested in this.
