We are seeking an experienced Hygiene Manager to join our growing team. This is a brand new role to Next Distribution and so we are looking for someone with the drive and passion to make the role their own.

Location: South Elmsall, West Yorkshire

Hours: Full time position with flexibility required to work occasional evenings and weekends

About the role: 

As Hygiene Manager, you will take full ownership for the development of our Hygiene team. Managing and coordinating a team of around 30 Hygiene Assistants, it’s your job to plan, prioritise and organise their workload, ensuring that your team members have the right skills and equipment to carry out their roles. 

You will drive your team to perform to the highest standard ensuring that their tasks are carried out accurately and within expected timescales, addressing any coaching and development needs along the way. As the dedicated Hygiene expert, you will play a critical role in setting hygiene standards and developing processes to ensure that the cleanliness level across site exceeds both business and regulatory requirements. 

About you: 

You will be fully up to date on COSH regulations and will have proven experience of driving innovations in both working practices and equipment. An industry recognised qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH) would be advantageous. 

Our Warehouses are large, fast paced 24 hour operations so previous experience of driving hygiene efficiencies in businesses of a comparable size would be beneficial. You will be an experienced Hygiene professional with a great attention to detail who is used to creating and maintaining hygiene records and specifications, carrying out internal audits and ensuring that any corrective action is escalated and implemented as necessary. Previous experience of managing budgets and generating cost savings is also a requirement for this role.
