The Golden Jubilee Foundation is unique within the NHS. A national institution, independently run by its own NHS Board, they have re-defined the concept of the public hospital, with a vision of "Leading Quality, Research and Innovation" for NHSScotland.

As a national NHS Board in Scotland, the Golden Jubilee Foundation's modern, purpose built environment, combines a first-class hospital with the four-star facilities in our conference hotel, and centres for research, clinical skills and innovation. In addition, a charitable body has been set up to create a new approach to funding innovation and research.

• A strong proven record in corporate governance including strategy development
• A previous operational role in the leadership, development and delivery of an effective medical workforce with specific emphasis on service delivery, clinical governance, job planning and objective setting.
• A strong background in Research and Development working in partnership with higher education institutions, maximising research, funding opportunities and translating research findings into improved practice and services for patients
• Integrating and aligning professional/clinical programmes and strategies with the strategic direction of the organisation.
• An understanding of the role of the Responsible Officer within the terms of the Medical Profession (Responsible Officers) (Amendment) Regulations 2013
• Leading medical workforce planning, undergraduate education and postgraduate training of doctors
• Knowledge of national policy issues and professional practice.
