Job overview:

The post holder will be expected to carry out duties to reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and commensurate with its level of responsibility.

Being an apprenticeship, support and supervision will be provided as appropriate.

As an apprentice, the candidate will also be expected to follow a relevant course of study with a reputable learning provider, which will involve block or day release from the normal duties listed. The apprentice will attend relevant courses and actively seek to broaden knowledge and skills relevant to responsibilities. Moreover, the successful candidate will maintain and extend personal expertise in specific areas of administration to provide appropriate advice and support.

Main role / Responsibilities: [primary function will include but not be limited to]:

We are looking to grow our established team in the Greater Manchester area.

We require an Apprentice Administrator to assist with daily administration duties from our head office in Stockport, split into duties for Computeam, and duties for other tenants in our office space.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Organising bookings for meeting rooms and responding to general enquiries from clients, right through to working alongside our technical team to organise laptop repairs (no technical skills required, but you will definitely learn some along the way!). The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work with several company departments to gain valuable skills from knowledgeable staff in different areas of the business.
The successful candidate will:
Follow relevant H&S procedures and raise awareness among staff, clients and other users Undertake risk assessments as required Implement and make modifications to relevant H&S procedures Actively monitor school, LEA/LA and legal requirements for H&S

Organised/time management is a required skill Good telephone manner Demonstrate practical knowledge and problem-solving skills Comfortable using Windows applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel Good typing skills Excellent telephone manner Fantastic organisational skills A keen eye for detail Great interpersonal skills Good time management skills Motivated, can-do attitude
As the job involves working with schools, an Enhanced DBS check will be required, which will be paid for by the company.

Desired qualification requirements:

Minimum 5 GCSE's at grade C & above or equivalent.

Working week:

Monday to Friday,

9am - 5pm,

35 hours per week [all details will be confirmed with the employer]


£156 per week

Future prospects:

Employment as full-time analyst with potential view of progressing up the service desk team in full time employment. We cannot guarantee a permanent contract to apprentices, but we try where possible to do this.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
