The successful candidate will undertake a range of management and care tasks supporting vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and mental health disorders. As a Senior Social Care Worker you will demonstrate leadership skills in an encouraging and supporting role. Providing "on the job" coaching as necessary, overseeing and monitoring working practices of Social Care Workers and Care Assistants. Working alongside other professionals, utilising sound practice and knowledge. Overseeing and contributing to care plans using key concepts within the National Care Standards, actively promoting and ensuring a high standard of care

The successful candidate is required to be part of the emergency Standby system on a rota basis and be flexible in their working pattern which may include unsocial and weekend work, depending on the requirements of the service.

Before confirming appointment you will be required to obtain PVG Scheme Membership through Disclosure Scotland.
The Individual
The successful candidate must have, in the first period of registration, Social Services and Healthcare SCQF7 qualification which includes HNC or Advanced Highers or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration

Must gain additional supervisory or management qualification containing supervision or management theory and practice suitable for a supervisor of a care service with a minimum of 15 credits at SCQF level 7 or above.

Ability to travel throughout Fife
