Home-based Solution Consultant

Contract Type

This is your chance to join an exciting and fast-growing startup, based right by the sea! If you’re Brighton based, that’s great, but we’re happy to consider home-based candidates if you’re the perfect fit for our needs.

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Solution Consultant who will become passionate about ProdPad’s solution and philosophy; and will act as an ambassador when working with our ever expanding global client base to find them the perfect solution to their product management goals.

About the job:

You’ll be joining our team as we continue building our product, a powerful web app that’s used by thousands of product managers and their teams. Joining a small team, you’ll be comfortable dealing with any and every part of the sales process, whether it is initiating contact with an ideal prospect, taking an initial conversation, consulting with the team to help find them the most suitable solution, interacting with procurement or even working with the client and colleagues on implementation activities. You may already have some experience in training new clients on a technology solution.

You will be responsible for selling into new prospects as well as farming back into existing customers to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels. As a business, our measure of success across the business is based around long-term revenue, meaning that we focus on selling the right solution for the customer, and working with customers where ProdPad is a good fit is important to us. There’s no “sell and forget” approach here!

About You:

You're a seasoned professional, with proven experience and a passion for selling technology solutions to senior executives.

Your natural style in your previous sales role will have been “consultative”, and you’ll understand the value of listening carefully to any existing or potential customer need before jumping in too fast with suggested solution. You’ll soon see that ProdPad doesn’t need or suit a “hard sell”, so you will thrive on getting to know our clients in detail, and take pleasure in implementing solutions that focus on long lasting relationships and high client retention.

You’ll have a strong ability to recognise customer pain points, and work with them to propose solutions.

Your technical ability and understanding of the product management discipline will enable you to get up to speed quickly with our tool, and you’ll soon start communicating this to our customers in the form of demos and roadmap clinics.

You’ll feel confident about learning ProdPad’s functionality enough to suggest configuration and usage options which best suit your customer’s needs, and even to provide guidance on implementation and rollout.

Why this job is important:

You’ll be joining the company at a point where the sales process has been established and proven to be successful for both self-service and enterprise customers. However there are always improvements to be made! This is a chance for you to take advantage of what we’ve learned so far about how our customers buy ProdPad, as you work with our inbound leads to expand our list of enterprise customers and begin to establish an outbound sales process to increase our share of this growing market.

What you’ll learn in this role:

You will gain knowledge around taking a SaaS product into an enterprise market, partially by using the techniques which have been established already, and partially by experimenting and learning with live leads. We’re happy to learn by doing, and will give you a safe place to try new techniques and approaches, with the view of learning what works and what doesn’t and making improvements to our approach over time.

We know this role is a big ask with a lot of responsibility. If you fit some but not all of the criteria, get in touch anyways and tell us what you’re awesome at and what you want to learn next. Let’s work together to find the perfect spot on our team for you!
